Chef Lochlan Alexander Joined The Regatta Hotel in 2018 as a Commis Chef in The Boatshed Restaurant after moving up from Newcastle in NSW. With 13+ years of experience, he used his passion for great food and Australian produce to move up the ranks to become the Head Chef at the age of 27.
Working with some of the world’s best food suppliers, he found a real passion for locally sourced Australian produce. Now Lochlan works extremely closely with supplier to select the best produce for not only the Boatshed Restaurant but our whole venue. Which has won the QHA’s Best Restaurant in 2017, 2018 and 2019 being placed into the hall of fame.
Lochlan continues to search for new and innovative ways to showcase Australian produce through some of his sell out events such as Whiskey Beef and Beef Off.
